Training
Lomic provides both on-site and off-site state-of-the-art training to its clients, to help you effectively use Lomic's oil and gas software, as well as education for technical personnel on practical applications of oil and gas technology. Lomic training sessions are comprehensive and practical, and focus on field applications.
In addition to the sample courses listed, Lomic develops and delivers courses on other specialized topic areas of interest to the oil and gas industry. Lomic also will customize and modify its existing courses to meet the specific needs of its clients.
Sample courses:
- Oil and Gas Metering - Provides participants with concepts of oil and gas metering, specializes in reviewing different types of meters and their uses and touches on other metering technologies.
- Phase Behavior of Oil and Gas - Offers fundamentals and practical applications of phase behavior, as well as diagramming, gas and liquid properties and equations of state.
- Oil and Gas Production Technology - Provides overviews of production facilities and entities, calculations, theories of gas and oil separation, emulsions, and pipeline design.
- Natural Gas Engineering - Offers an overview of testing, analysis, equations, and natural gas well behavior.
- Integrated Condensate Management - Reviews properties and phase behavior of condensate fluids, technologies, and reservoir modeling.
About the Instructor:
Professor Michael A. Adewumi is the president of Lomic Incorporated. He is also Professor of Petroleum & Natural Gas Engineering at the Pennsylvania State University where he has been teaching and conducting research for more than 16 years. Prior to that, he was a research fellow at the Institute of Gas Technology in Chicago where he conducted research on phase behavior, multiphase hydrodynamic flow in pipelines and process modeling. He has significant industrial experience in the oil and gas industry.
An internationally recognized expert in natural gas engineering, multiphase flow and phase behavior, he has conducted significant research for the National Science Foundation, U.S. Department of Energy, Gas Research Institute, the Engineering Foundation as well as for independent and major oil companies. He has also performed extensive consulting services for major oil and gas companies including Mobil, Amoco, TransWestern, and Dominion, and has consulted for the UNDP. He has authored and/or co-authored nearly 100 technical articles in various areas of natural gas engineering and petroleum production engineering.
